Korean vs Mandarin Chinese
Which should you learn?
Korean has the easier writing system (Hangul, learnable in a day) and no tones, but more complex grammar. Mandarin has no inflectional grammar to speak of but adds tones and thousands of characters. Both are FSI Category IV (~2,200 hours) for English speakers. Choose Korean for K-culture and a fast reading start, Mandarin for the largest speaker base and business utility.
